- Time with Lizzi and Sully
This one isn’t close. Nothing else on this list competes with time spent with my daughter and grandson. Whether it’s being together in person, a phone call, a FaceTime, or just hearing a new Sully story, that connection restores something deep in me. It’s joy without effort, fun without performance, and laughter that doesn’t need a reason. If everything else disappeared, this would still be enough. - Unstructured time with Daryl
Some of the best fun in my life happens when nothing is planned. Sitting and talking. Sharing a meal. Laughing at something ridiculous. Listening to music. Dancing badly in a park. That kind of time doesn’t announce itself as “fun” in the moment, but it always leaves me lighter than when it began. - Writing (when it isn’t work)
Writing for fun is different from writing with expectations attached. This is where ideas wander, memories resurface, and stories take shape without deadlines hovering overhead. Blog reflections, novel concepts, half-written scenes—this is how my brain relaxes by staying busy. - Exploring bourbon—slowly and thoughtfully
I enjoy bourbon less as a drink and more as a ritual. Tasting, comparing, reading, and writing about what’s in the glass turns a simple pour into a moment of reflection. It’s not about chasing bottles or proofs; it’s about slowing the world down enough to pay attention. - Sports—watching, analyzing, officiating
Sports are fun for me because they’re never just games. They’re stories about preparation, leadership, failure, and resilience. I enjoy watching them, breaking them down, debating them, and even officiating them from the field. It’s a kind of structured chaos that always reveals something human.

I love that family is your number one thing. 🙂
😄 Quick question:
If you could create a digital card or invitation in under 1 minute,
what would you make first?
I just found a simple tool that most people are still sleeping on 👀
