🎮 From Payday to Pocket Tecmo: My Lifelong Love of Games

What’s my favorite game? Honestly, it depends on when you ask me. As a kid growing up in the country, I played Payday and Life solo, handling every move like a boardroom exec. When dad brought home Pong, I didn’t need an opponent—just two hands and some determination.

Then came the backyard era: hoops with my brother, football plays in the grass, and smashing tennis balls into the fields like they owed me money. For a while, “my favorite game” meant fresh air and scuffed sneakers.

But reality checks and aging knees have a way of shifting the dream. Enter sports video games—where I could finally be the MVP. Tecmo Super Bowl turned my couch into the sideline, and digital arenas became my playground.

Today? I still chase that rush. Retro football on my phone, pixelated hockey, and brainy matchups like Wordle and Connections keep me on my toes.

So no, I can’t name just one favorite. My games have changed—but the passion? That’s never left the field.

📱💭 From board games to brain games, it’s been a wild ride—and I’m still playing.
