Picking a bowl game like this one is challenging because both teams play in leagues that mostly lack consistent competition. The best team that Northern Illinois played was Michigan, and the Huskies lost that game 63-10. Coastal Carolina’s biggest Power 5 opponent was Kansas, and … well, we won’t even go there. Both teams did play Buffalo, and both teams beat the Bulls by less than a touchdown. Coastal Carolina has a few more playmakers on both offense and defense, but the difference between the two teams is probably fairly slim. I expect QB Grayson McCall to lead the Chanticleers to a late touchdown to make the difference.
