How did I come about this title? Honestly, I didn’t know what to call my biography, so I started feeding details into AI, and I tracked my history from birth until this day. I love teaching, but the common thread in my life has always been writing. I worked at my Dad’s newspaper when I was in high school. I was the sports editor at one newspaper and the editor at another in college. I was the editor at a newspaper in the Air Force and I graduated with a journalism degree from the University of North Florida. Even though I always loved music, and that was a connection with my mother, she helped me see that my greater passion was the written word. Even though I’m teaching now, I’m teaching English, and I also have one section of journalism.
The other passion I have is Jesus Christ. I’ve been a Christian since 1994, and I try to live my life according to the Bible. It’s not easy, and I do make mistakes. But my desire is to be a man after the Lord’s heart, and that drives most of my decisions in life.
So, based on all of the information I fed into AI, including what I told you just now, it came out with that title: “A Life Dedicated to Words and Faith.” Honestly, it seems fairly appropriate.
