It’s likely that if any of us sat down for a few minutes, we could come up with a laundry list of things we’d like to do – if only we had more time. I’m no exception because I’m constantly faced with all of the things I wish I did better, as well as those areas in which I’m weak.
At the top of the list is my weight. I’ve been plagued with being overweight for most of my adult life, and this has led to me being a Type 2 diabetic. My life runs at a pretty fast pace, and this ends up affective when, how and what I eat, and it also has an impact on how much I exercise. (Or if I exercise at all.) I really need to address my weight because I know where this goes if I don’t get that under control.
Organization is another big area for me. My ADHD brain leads to me being naturally disorganized and feeling a bit disjointed most of the time. I’d love to be able to find a foolproof plan to get all of my information and paperwork effectively filed, but again, that’s something that tends to get shuffled to the bottom of my deck.
I guess the common denominator to all of this is time – I need to pay attention to how I spend it. It’s the one thing most of us don’t seem to have enough of, and the one thing that when it’s gone, you’ll never get back.
