Love Is the Only Thing I Can’t Live Without
We think our lives depend on our phones, our cars, our tools. But strip everything away and one truth remains: objects are replaceable. Love isn’t. Continue reading

Home Isn’t the House
I once lived in a house that bounced, sagged, sank into the earth, and secretly hosted a thriving rodent community. And somehow, I still loved it. These days, I live somewhere far more stable—but the real difference is who I share it with. Turns out, home isn’t about perfect construction. It’s about a solid foundation where it matters most. Continue reading

From Gummy Bears to Chocolate to … Bourbon
A year ago, my favorite candy was gummy bears. I still like them. These days, though, I’d rather have chocolate—and if I’m being completely honest, I’d rather have bourbon than either. Call it growing up… or at least growing older with better taste. Continue reading

The Invention That Changed Everything
From rotary phones to smartphones, few inventions have reshaped daily life as completely as the Internet. More than a technological breakthrough, it became the connective tissue that binds modern inventions—and modern lives—together. Continue reading

One More Year, A Little More Personal
Perspective has a way of changing with time—and sometimes with loss. What once felt theoretical now feels lived-in, closer to the bone. A reflection on how enduring life’s harder moments reshapes what matters most. Continue reading

Anyone Have a Plane and a Parachute?
I don’t have much patience for irrational fear—except for the one I still carry myself. A fear of heights that makes no sense, lingers anyway, and occasionally challenges me to step closer to the edge… on purpose. Continue reading

One-Day Life University (Asterisk Required)
What if there were a place where life’s most common mistakes were taught in advance—by people who made them first? No degrees, no credits, no mascot. Just hard-earned wisdom, a sense of humor, and an asterisk doing a lot of legal work. Continue reading

The Best Billboard Message Isn’t Clever at All
If I had a freeway billboard, it wouldn’t offer wisdom, inspiration, or a clever punchline. In a world overloaded with messages, the most honest thing it could say is also the simplest — and the easiest to ignore. Continue reading

Living Between Memory and Imagination
It’s easy to get stuck replaying past hurts or daydreaming about future success. I’ve done both — and neither one changed a thing. Learning from the past and planning for the future matter, but real growth only happens in the present. That’s where healing begins, goals turn into action, and the gift of today actually gets opened. Continue reading

Do I need a break? Oh yes. From this.
We all need a break from something — deadlines, laundry, that creeping Tuesday-afternoon dread. But the thing I’m most desperate to escape isn’t exhaustion or overwork. It’s the willful, proudly uninformed nonsense that seems to dominate conversations, headlines, and daily life. This is a plea for sanity… or at least a short vacation from stupidity.
