If I’m honest, the list is probably longer than I want to admit. I could do less worrying about things I can’t control — which, if we’re grading on a curve, is roughly most things. I could do less replaying old conversations in my head, trying to win debates that no one else is still having. I could do less stressing over money, over work, over the state of the house, over whether the oven is going to spontaneously combust again.
And I could definitely waste less time on things that don’t matter. I’m not talking about rest — we all need that. I’m talking about the mental hamster wheels, the pointless scrolling, and the distractions that add nothing and take plenty. I want to spend more time on things that actually matter, things that are productive and consequential, things that move my life forward rather than just keep it noisy.
I could also do less filling every quiet moment with noise — checking, refreshing, distracting. Sometimes the best thing I could do is simply sit still and let silence be silence.
And maybe… I could do less believing I have to shoulder everything myself. Life has tried to prove to me over and over that the load is lighter when I let people help — especially the people who actually want to.
So that’s the answer today. Do less of the things that drain. Make room for the things that actually fill.

Worrying about things I have no control over has always been something I’ve done! Gotta do less of that! Thanks!
