Do lazy days make you feel rested or unproductive?
Honestly, it depends on how I define lazy. There are days when slowing down is exactly what my mind and body need — the chance to breathe, to not be “on,” to let the world hum along without my constant input. Those days leave me genuinely rested.
But there are also days when “lazy” feels more like avoidance — the stack of papers ungraded, the blog post unwritten, the house quietly asking for attention. Those days can feel less like rest and more like guilt in disguise.
Maybe the difference isn’t whether the day is lazy or busy, but whether it’s intentional. When I choose rest, I feel renewed. When rest chooses me, I usually just feel behind.
