I can’t say that there’s a template for a perfect day, but there have been some great days along the way. I haven’t sorted them all out in my head, but I can think of some that have been special. For example, my 50th birthday was pretty amazing. That was back in 2016 (and yes, I’ve had a lot of great days since then). My wife planned a big birthday dinner for me at my sister’s house, and my closest friends and family came to the party. It was a special night, and it was capped the next day with tickets to the Florida-Georgia game with my best friend, Scott. He and I are both big Gator fans, and that day our team had the upper hand, 24-10. (We’ve only beaten Georgia one time since then.) We finished the day with some nice bourbon and fine cigars. As I said, there have been great days since then, but that one stands out as one of my very best.
