This is an interesting question because the answer really depends on the intent for what I want to get done that day. Sometimes, a lazy day is needed for rest and relaxation, especially when life has been busy and hectic. On those days, being lazy is exactly what the doctor has ordered.
On other days, however, I feel incredibly unproductive because I needed to get things done, but I ended up just being lazy. Usually, that feeling of inadequacy is because I wasn’t specific in setting my priorities and schedule. Without an agenda, it’s easy to get to the end of the day and then realize that I didn’t really finish anything.
Ultimately, I guess I should feel productive, even on a lazy day, as long as I’ve done what I intended to do. The key is to be deliberate about the purpose of the day and to stick with the plan. Even being lazy can pay dividends as long as that’s what you set out to do.
