Olivia Rodrigo has quickly become the queen of the pop charts, as her latest hit, “good 4 u,” continues to be immovable at the top. Now No. 1 for five weeks, “good 4 u” is clearly dominant in a field that seems unable to approach the single, let alone unseat it. Doja Cat’s “Kiss Me More” is still solid at No. 2, though we believe that song has peaked and will not rise back to No. 1. (It held that spot for two weeks in July.) “Stay” by The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber, currently at No. 3, may be the best candidate to nudge Rodrigo aside, but it has not generated the airplay it needs to rise higher. Ed Sheeran’s “Bad Habits” rose one spot to No. 4, but it is hindered by very average streaming and download appeal. And “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” rounds out the top five, but it seems that song has crested and will soon begin its descent back down the chart.
Of the five songs exiting the chart this week, two stand out: Saweetie’s “Best Friend,” which spent 22 weeks in the Top 40, peaking at No. 12, and The Kid Laroi’s “Without You,” which was on the chart for 21 weeks and which peaked at No. 11.
This week’s other trends include:
Biggest movers:
- “Industry Baby” by Lil Nas X and Jack Harlow (up 22 from No. 29 to No. 7, only two weeks on the chart)
- “Need to Know” by Doja Cat (up seven from No. 30 to No. 23, up 16 in the last two weeks)
Biggest drops:
- “Motley Crew” by Post Malone (down four from No. 12 to No.16)
- “Ain’t Sh*t” by Doja Cat (down five from No. 16 to No. 21)
- “Astronaut in the Ocean” by Masked Wolf (down four from No. 22 to No. 26, down 15 in the last three weeks)
- “Whole Lotta Money” by Bia and Nicki Minaj (down eight from No. 27 to No. 35, down 17 in the last two weeks)
- “Beautiful Mistakes” by Maroon 5 and Meghan Thee Stallion (down eight from No. 32 to No. 40, down 26 in the last three weeks)

- “Love Again” by Dua Lipa (No. 39, three weeks on the Side Burner chart)
