Walking? Working on It.

How often do I walk or run?

Short answer: not as often as I should.

On a good day I land between 6,000–8,000 steps just living life—teaching, errands, dog duty. Some days I don’t crack 5,000. Fall football season is the exception: officiating turns into an accidental workout. Tonight I topped 12,000 steps in stripes.

I’m not pretending that’s optimal fitness. It’s just honest. Walking clears my head and helps me plan lessons and posts, but consistency is my missing ingredient. My simple goal this month: move on purpose three days a week (20–30 minutes), and let game nights be the extra credit. No heroics—just a little better than yesterday.

If you’ve been in the same boat, consider this your nudge: count the steps you already take, then add a short walk. Small wins stack.
