What then? Are we Jews any better off? No, not at all. For we have already charged that all, both Jews and Greeks, are under sin, as it is written:

Reflect
In the days of the early Christians, there was an argument among the Jewish Christians of whether or not they were “more chosen” than the Gentiles who accepted Christ. After all, Jesus was Jewish and as Jews, God had specially chosen them to hand down His words and commands. (And that’s all very true, but…)
Paul had some tough words for the Jewish believers. The bottom line is that everyone, regardless of how “chosen” they are, needs to accept Christ. The sin that plagues us all doesn’t respect who you are or where you come from. Every one of us needs forgiveness and redemption. We all need God’s grace in order to be able to stand before Him. There will be no favorites in Heaven.
In the next few days, make a special effort to remind yourself how special God’s grace and mercy are, and how much we all need it. Reach out to others with His love and show them His grace, even if (and especially if) it doesn’t seem like they deserve it.
