    I just don’t get Cincinnati being Number 2…almost lost to Navy almost lost to Tulsa, at least the playoff rankings have them at 6 Johnny

    • Associated Press has them at No. 2. Coaches have them at No. 3. I get your point, but I rarely ever demote a team when they don’t lose. No, they’re not passing the “eye test,” but they are winning. I think the CFP committee is going to screw themselves over by keeping the Bearcats out of the playoff if they go undefeated. That will create a huge uproar about how bound the CFP is to the Power Five. If they want to stay at a four-team playoff, they’ll let Cincy in. Otherwise, you can count on an enormous groundswell that will guarantee an expansion to eight teams — and very, very soon.
