As most of the Christian chart stayed virtually stationary, Phil Wickham’s “Battle Belongs” and Crowder’s “Good God Almighty” maintained their grip on the top two spots. “Battle” remained No. 1 for the seventh week in a row and is clearly the year’s top song thus far. Crowder’s latest hit continues to gain strength and moved to within 1.1 percent of the top spot. Zach Williams’ “Less Like Me,” tobyMac’s “Help Is On the Way (Maybe Midnight)” and MercyMe’s “Say I Won’t” fill out the rest of the Top 5.
While 25 of last week’s Top 40 moved two spots or less up or down, three songs did make significant moves. The week’s big mover was Needtobreathe’s “Survival,” which jumped seven spots from No. 29 to No. 22. The other two big movers were “Keep On Hoping” by Riley Clemmons (up five from No. 31 to No. 26) and “Without You” by Social Club Misfits (up six from No. 39 to No. 33).
Only two songs debuted this week, while another re-entered the chart. “Yes He Can” by Cain was the week’s top debut at No. 31, followed closely by “Talking to Jesus,” a collaboration between Elevation Worship and Maverick City Worship that entered at No. 32. Red Rocks Worship re-entered the chart with “Echo Holy” at No. 39 after one week away.
