Read

Hebrews 3:7-19

But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.
Hebrews 3:13 (NIV)

Reflect

We live in a world where insults are so much easier to offer than encouragement. Perhaps it’s because it’s so hard to come up with words of encouragement. If that’s the case, let me offer you a handful of phrases to use with the people in your life:

You’re beautiful–Great job!–My friend–You’re special–You’re a blessing–Way to play!–Wake to work–Well done!–You’re unique–How smart of you–Awesome!–Great job!–Fantastic!–Best ever–You’re so sensitive–You’re a winner–Way to start–Great finish–You betcha!I admire you–Good going–Looking great–You finished strong–You’re spectacularNow you’re cooking–I really respect you–You mean everything to me–Thanks for being just you–What a witness!–So special–You’re cool–Thanks!–God blessJesus shines through you–What a friend–You’re the greatest–How creative–You’re a real problem-solver–You’re right–You’re on target–You’re faithful–You’re obedient–How loving!–Thanks for the truthYou’re number one–Thanks for the help–I need youYou’re precious–Hi, friend!–You’re God’s person–I see Jesus in you–I love you–Hey, buddy!–You’re mine–You’re so brave–You’re on your way!–Don’t give up!Now you’re rolling–You really care–How smart of you–That’s so coolI really love you!

Make sure you use your words most often to build up and never to tear down. Let me know if you have some quick phrases you’d like to add to this list!
